Bran Muffins

1¼ cups flour
3 teaspoonfuls baking powder
½ teaspoonful salt
½ cup sugar
1 ½ cups bran flakes (Post Bran Flakes are the best!)
1 cup milk
1 egg
¼ cup oil
2 Tablespoonfuls wheat bran

Combine bran flakes with milk and egg in mixing bowl.  Stir together and allow to stand until flakes are slightly soggy.  Add dry ingredients and stir until just blended.  Allow oil last and stir. 

Coat 12 muffin cups with oil and bake for about 25 minutes at 400 degrees.  Serve hot.
